Job Description
- Lead and manage a team of quantity surveyors, providing direction, mentorship, and support.
- Oversee cost estimation and budgeting processes for construction projects, including material and labor costs.
- Review and negotiate contracts with vendors, subcontractors, and clients to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
- Monitor project costs and expenditures, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Provide guidance on procurement strategies, including sourcing materials and services at competitive prices.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project risks.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to optimize project delivery and cost efficiency
Job Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, construction management, or related field.
- Professional certification or licensure in quantity surveying (e.g., MRICS, PQS) preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in quantity surveying, with 2-3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Have knowledge and experience in commercial building interior fit-out works is an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost control techniques.
- Have knowledge and experience in commercial building interior fit-out works is an added advantage.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Project)
- Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, English
